Workouts

As we plan to indulge in the local beverages, baked goods, pastas and gelato, we also plan to work out. Nothing jump starts the body better than a short workout (followed by some coffee!). We invite you to join in our workouts! We will be advertising "FREE BOOTCAMPS" to our fellow travelers and posting the workouts on here. 

Here is one of our favourite indoor bootcamps: Spartacus. A little taste for what Europe is going to experience:

Spartacus - 1:00 min intervals with less than 10sec rest between. Complete 2 times through with chosen weights
1. Goblet Squat
2. Mountain climber
3. DB Swing
4. T pushup
5. Jump lunge
6. DB row
7. DB side lunge
8. Pushup row
9. Reverse lunge twist
10. DB push press

- Sacre Coeur Run


Warm up for this workout by walking up the route the night before. Do some bicep curls with your bottle of wine or beer.


Workout:
Begin at 36 Rue Ramey and head south on Rue de Mont Cenis up to the top of Sacre-Coeur. Don't stop. Keep running. Take the stairs. Catch your breath and keep going. Don't stop.
Parkour a little at the top of the hill. Take pictures.


Keep running and head down the opposite side of the hill. Get lost. Realize you are lost. Run back up the hill. This is a negative split workout. This hill must be done faster than your first one because you might miss your train. Don't stop. No time to stretch after. Shower, run to train station with heavy packs. Several squats and more sprints. Don't forget to print off your ticket. Jump onto train, first class if you can't make it to your car in time. Nap.




AMSTERDAM


- Bike ride around the city and park. Don't hit pedestrians. If you do, 20 pushups. Use your bell.
